Tell me a little about yourself?
I am a hyper, art loving costume maker who loves showing my masterpieces to the world. I also love playing video games. I am very friendly and love making new friends.
When did you start cosplaying?
My first time was in 2011 at Anime STL. I cosplayed as Gaara from Naruto.
Why did you start cosplaying?
If I’m going to an anime con, I am not going as my normal boring self. So, when I got invited to join my college group to Anime STL, I bought my first cosplay.
Who are your cosplay idols?
Kazplay, CanineHybrid, and the owners of In Fursuit of Happiness Studios
What type of cosplays do you do?
I do a little bit of everything. I have multiple gaming cosplays and anime cosplays. I’ve also created movie cosplays.
What are your favorite cosplays?
I love the Blizzcon cosplay community. They work extremely hard to build epic cosplays. Theres too many I really love to list them all. I also love creature cosplays. Anything fuzzy.
What is something you want to cosplay but probably never will?
Do you make, buy, or special order your cosplays?
I make all my cosplays now. Sometimes, there are pieces I have to buy from other cosplay artists.
What do you love about cosplay?
When I’m in costume, I get into character. I become someone else. I bring smiles to people’s faces. I become something people love seeing. The reactions of the people who see me make the entire experience worth it.
What is the most difficult thing for you about cosplay?
For me, most of my suits cause vision problems. Most of the time I have to rely on another person to guide me places. Most of my suits are also extremely hot to be in for long periods of time.
Who is your favorite character to cosplay?
I love my druid kitty, Darkshuka.
If you could live in or visit any fantasy world, where would you go?
World of Warcraft
Where do you get your inspiration for your cosplays?
Watching other cosplayers inspires me to create my own masterpieces. Mainly, my four cosplay idols. Seeing what they create and how much fun they have makes me want to improve in making my own creations.
What are your “fandoms”?
I am pert of the furry fandom. It kinda goes with making all those fuzzy cosplays.
What is something you wish beginning cosplayers knew?
Not everyone does their research. They go to cons, not knowing what to expect. It can be an epic experience or a terrible experience, depending on how prepared they are. I wish every cosplayer knew what to expect when going into a con.
What tips do you have for other cosplayers?
Always do your research before buying your materials. Go over every technique you are going to need to know. For cons, know how big or small its going to be. Make backup plans in case your cosplay breaks or you have an accident. Test out your cosplays before going into public with them. If possible, bring a friend to keep an eye on you and help you when needed.
What is something you wish non-cosplayers knew?
I wish they knew how much time and effort us cosplayers go through to make our cosplays come to life.
What cosplays are you working on?
Star Wars cosplays! Starting off with a Jawa cosplay. Hoping to have a Kylo Ren cosplay by the end of the year. Also planning to make either Kurama or Decidueye for competitions.
What cosplay are you most known for?
Most who know about me have seen my feral druid kitty, Darkshuka. She is also everyone’s favorite. Her first appearance was at Blizzcon 2016.
What cosplays do you want to do if money and time were no object?
I actually still plan to make this cosplay, but my Kylo Ren cosplay is going to cost alot.
Where can people find your cosplays?
